Don McCleery came aboard WOSO in November of 19~3 as Creative Director, a role he still fills along with hosting the morning drive program.

During Don’s 31-year Radio/TV career he has worn virtually every broadcast hat from engineer to sales manager. However, he always gravitates back to his first love in the business.., an on-air communicator.

Monday through Friday Don’s voice and experience contribute a unique mix to WOSO’s News and Information programming. He says, "I try to add a light and breezy element to the station’s wonderful magazine type line up of informational features and news. The 6 hours per day of preparation I spend on the next day’s broadcast is something of joy for me."

His work results in many interesting and entertaining moments on WOSO. The daily "Web Site of the Day" is one of his fun features created to educate and share with WOSO’s listeners some of what he encounters during his prep. He also researches and edits WOSO’s popular daily Genius and Sports Genius Questions.

Don is married to Maria Igdalia Sierra Maldonado, a lovely Puerto Rican native from Barranquitas. Between them they have 6 children and four grandchildren.
