Danette Hudoba was born in Minneapolis, Minn. in 1960. She came to Puerto Rico with her Mom in the early 1960's. In 1981 she enrolled at Boston University where after two years in the College of Basic Studies, she transferred to B.U.'s College of Liberal Arts with
a major in Environmental Science.
Danette has worn many hats before finding radio. "I started my first job in my last year of high school as a night receptionist for the now defunct El Imparcial newspaper. During college I tried my hand at bartending, waiting tables, working for caterers, landscapers, jewelry makers and boat sanders. I also worked for the U.S. Census and canvassed for MASSPIRG, plus stints as a cashier at a deli, a supermarket and Laundromat."
She started working part-time at WOSO in 1991 where she continues to wear many hats including those of Traffic Manager, Producer and
Voice-Over Talent. In addition to COFFEE BREAK, she can be heard as Host of
STOCK EXCHANGE, and as producer of OUR ENVIRONMENT and COMMUNITY
CALENDAR.
She says, "I feel like I finally have found my niche. WOSO is not just a job. I love the daily challenge of juggling my various responsibilities and feel as if my family has grown to include my co-workers and thousands of listeners." |
