Speakout Host on Tuesdays

Jaime daSiIva was first known to Speakout listeners as "the caller from Cayey". Invited by WOSO management to host a program, he became a substitute host and, a few months later, the regular moderator for Tuesdays.

Jaime, a native of the island of Fayal in the Azores, grew up in Rhode Island and attended two of those universities with redbrick buildings covered with crawling ivy. He has taught at Harvard and the Universities of New Hampshire and Puerto Rico.

Ever mindful of what it is like to be on the caller's side of the phone, Jaime believes that Speakout is always a dialog where earnestness of opinion must be tempered with mutual courtesy and levity.
