Bob Sirott
and Marianne Murciano are no strangers to working in partnership.
Besides co-anchoring Fox Thing in the Morning on WFLD-TV in Chicago
in 1994, they are also husband and wife.
Both Bob and Marianne are true veterans of TV and radio, with
successful careers in broadcasting and communications.
Bob started early in
the entertainment business as a page for NBC. After graduating
from Chicago's Columbia College and a short stint as a weekend
disc jockey, he got his first major break working the afternoon
drive slot for WLS in Chicago. Years later, his love for TV led
him to CBS as their Chicago station's first entertainment and
lifestyle editor. In 1985, he was named one of the original anchors
for the CBS-TV network news magazine series West 57th. Bob then
joined NBC's Chicago affiliate television station as the noontime
anchor and a producer/reporter for the 10 p.m. news. His "One
More Thing" essays at the end of his newscast won Emmys for
writing and performing.
Marianne got her start
in broadcasting in 1979 in Miami as a reporter for WNWS news radio
and then began working in TV as a reporter for WCIX in 1980. She
has also worked behind the scenes as a writer and producer for
educational programming at WLRN. While in Miami, Marianne anchored
WSVN-TV's Today in Florida — the No.1 rated morning show in Miami
— and a morning news show for WTVJ-TV. For the past two years
Marianne has been a guest co-host on Steve Dahl's afternoon drive
show on WCKG, Chicago. |
