Josué
Merced-Reyes
El
Buen Vivir & Pleasures
in the Caribbean Host
Recognized
“gourmand”, Josué Merced-Reyes shares with us his knowledge of the
kitchen, cooking, food and drink. His smooth writing and voice guides
us through these culinary pleasures and how to share them with friends
in a creative and effortless manner.
Throughout his long career in marketing and
advertising, he’s traveled extensively through Europe, North America, Latin
America and the Caribbean. This has allowed him to explore his endless interest
in food and wine as he wanders through new flavors, customs and restaurants.
He brings these experiences in taste and drink back for us to enjoy at home,
adding variety and spice to our lives. A firm believer that food is nourishment,
not only for the body, but also for the mind and spirit, Josué travels to towns
visited, but never seen, shares with us the local folklore, and asks that we enjoy
simple pleasures with family and friends.
Josué is the host of: El Buen Vivir, with easy to
prepare recipes and in-home entertaining tips; and, Pleasures in the Caribbean,
where he explores things we can enjoy, from food, wine, restaurants, museums, music,
history, to art, hotels and things to do.
Josué is President of InterEmktg, a Caribbean consulting
firm that produces El Buen Vivir and Pleasures in the Caribbean; he is a partner at Sota
Caballo y Rey, S.L. – a wine export company in Spain and directs the Peña Gastronómica, a
wine-and-dine club. He is a judge in Taste of The Caribbean, the annual culinary and
bartending competitions; a judge in the Jack Daniels BBQ Competitions and a member of the
wine tasting panel of Le Connoisseur wine magazine.
